'Younger' star Nico Tortorella to spend Thanksgiving in Chicago area

Wednesday, 15 November 2017, 05:29:18 AM. 'Younger' star Nico Tortorella grew up in Wilmette and will spend the Thanksgiving holiday in the area.

“Younger” star Nico Tortorella, who grew up in Wilmette, plans to return to the Chicago area for Thanksgiving.

“We're gonna be in Chicago, big Thanksgiving celebration,” . “And then Bethany and I are headed to Peru for a few weeks before Christmas to go do some (herbal hallucinogen) ayahuasca.”

Tortorella, 29, has been with his partner, fitness instructor Bethany Meyers, for more than a decade since meeting at a college party in Chicago. Meyers identifies as gay, while Tortorella identifies as “more of a pansexual," which is defined as an attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity.

He told : “I can be emotionally, physically attracted to men. I can be emotionally, physically attracted to women. The ‘B’ in LGBTQ-plus has been fought for, for so long. I’m not going to be the person that’s like, ‘No, I need a ‘P,’ I need another letter!’ I stand by people that have paved this way for somebody like me."

They discussed their polyamorous relationship in the same article, which Tortorella said caused some tension among people close to Meyers.

“Honestly, it's kind of a sensitive topic right this second," Tortorella told People.

An alumnus of New Trier High School, Tortorella lives in New York and stars on the TV Land series “Younger," which was recently renewed for a fifth season.
