Saturday, 02 December 2017, 09:34:29 PM. Chicago-born actor Larry Manetti and his wife recently listed their three-bedroom condominium in Chicago's Loop for $535,000.

Chicago-born actor Larry Manetti, who is best known for his role as Tom Selleck’s dependable sidekick Rick Wright on the 1980s TV show “Magnum, P.I.,” and his wife recently listed their three-bedroom condominium unit in the Loop for $535,000.

A Northwest Side native, Manetti, 70, starred with Selleck on “Magnum” for eight years. He also has appeared in many films and TV shows, including a recent small role on “Hawaii Five-0.”

Larry and Nancy Manetti paid $461,000 in early 2008 to buy the 14th-floor unit from the condo building’s developer. The unit is in a more than 90-year-old building that was converted to condos in 2007. In September, the Manettis placed the unit on the market for $540,000, and also at that time had been seeking to rent out the unit for $3,400 a month. Several weeks ago, they reduced their asking price to $535,000.

Features in the corner unit include two baths, views of Lake Michigan and Millennium Park, a kitchen with granite countertops and designer cabinetry, hardwood floors, new carpeting in the bedrooms and a private outdoor space.

Manetti said he’s selling the Chicago condominium because he’s preparing to renovate another home he owns with his wife in Los Angeles’ Woodland Hills area.

“It’s a wonderful building. You can’t do better than Michigan Avenue across from Grant Park. It’s an excellent, excellent place to live,” Manetti said of the Chicago condominium. “Whoever gets it is getting a great location.”
