Trump campaign ad blames Democrats for Republican failure to repeal Obamacare

Sunday, 05 November 2017, 10:01:00 PM. President Donald Trump's campaign is out with an ad blaming Democrats for the Republicans' failure to repeal Obamacare.
WASHINGTON -- After Donald Trump and congressional Republicans failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act and then took actions that led to higher premiums, the president's campaign is out with a new ad that blames Democrats. The ad, funded by the Republican National Committee and approved by Trump,  claims Democrats obstructed the president's health care efforts, even though it was the Senate Republican majority that failed to get enough support to pass its bill. "President Trump will fix it," says the ad running on national cable channels beginning Tuesday, a day before the open enrollment period begins for health insurance. GOP's Obamacare failure "While the economy is starting to improve under the president's leadership, and tax cuts are just around the corner, this president will not rest until he provides relief from skyrocketing premiums for hardworking American families," said Lara Trump, a senior adviser to Trump's campaign committee (and the president's daughter-in-law). Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., who led the fight against Trump's repeal efforts as the top Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, called the ad "nothing but revisionist history."
