Just when some people are getting sick of the pumpkin spice latte, a pair of Tim Hortons locations in Buffalo, N.Y., are taking the trend in a bizarre new direction.

The two locations have unveiled a Buffalo latte “made from freshly brewed espresso, steamed milk, mocha, and bold Buffalo sauce flavour,” according to a company news release.

The company also says the latte is topped with whipped topping and a dusting of Buffalo-sauce seasoning.

“Tim Hortons and Buffalo sauce were both born in 1964, so why not take these two Buffalo staples and combine them?” Stephen Goldstein, regional president of Tim Hortons U.S., said in a news release.

“The unlikely pairing of sweet mocha and tangy Buffalo sauce come together to create an unexpectedly delicious sweet and spicy treat we hope our guests will enjoy.”

This isn’t the first time the American Tim Hortons has served an unusual menu item. To celebrate Canada 150, some American stores sold poutine donuts and maple bacon iced caps.

Tim Hortons says the drink starts at $2.79 and will be offered at two Tim Hortons locations in Buffalo.

The lattes will be available until Oct. 20 while supplies last.
