STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - A free program for parents and kids in grades K through 6 will discuss how to empower your child to overcome a difficult situation and offer advice on steps you can take if your child is bullied. The Bully Proofing Your Child Workshop is presented by Jeff Ellis of International Karate Centers in partnership with Autism Speaks. Ellis has been an advocate for children for over 40 years. Bridget Richards, owner of Lamplight Counseling Services and a child and family therapist, will also present. This workshop takes place on Nov. 12, 1-3:00 p.m. at the Ehrnfelt Rec Center, 18100 Royalton Rd. The same workshop will also take place on Sun., Nov. 18, 1-3:00 p.m. at the Middleburg Heights Community Center, 16000 Bagley Rd. Sign up online at bullyproofingyourchild.com.
