Missing Westminster man found

Wednesday, 15 November 2017, 02:52:49 PM. An 84-year-old-man with dementia who was reported missing in Westminster Monday was found Tuesday afternoon in Baltimore.
The 84-year-old man with dementia reported missing Monday morning in Westminster was found safe and unharmed in downtown Baltimore, according to a news release from the Westminster Police Department. Cesar Mesa was reported missing Monday morning from the unit block of Bond Street in Westminster and on Tuesday afternoon, police believed Mesa might have been attempting to travel to the New York City area where he has previously lived. A good Samaritan brought Mesa to the Central District Police Station in Baltimore Tuesday out of concern for his welfare, according to the release. Westminster police Chief Jeff Spaulding stated in the release: “We are very pleased to learn of the safe return of Mr. Mesa. I wish to express my sincere thanks to our many public safety partners who assisted with the search effort to include the Maryland State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Carroll County Office of Emergency Management and Chesapeake Search Dogs.
