Eleanor Ransburg's commentary covered the entire scope concerning the NFL protests. Speaking for myself, when I watched our Saints players not standing during the National Anthem, this brought tears in my eyes as I thought of my husband and how sad he would have been to have lived to see such disrespect of the United States of America. During this tour of duty in World War II, he spent two years as a prisoner of war in German stalags. He would have given anything to see an American flag, stand and honor what it stands for, or hear the National Anthem. In its place, he saw Gestapo's boots and frozen ground, only to wonder if he would ever see his home again. Those players who are protesting should not do this while in their work environment, but perhaps do it on their time, or maybe go on strike like union workers and not play or receive their salaries, and cause games to go unplayed.
