Judge Roy Moore bemoaned the "lack of morality" in political advertisements during his race for the Senate, telling One America News Network that "immorality has sunken to a new low."

The embattled Moore made the comments when asked what he learned from the race to fill the seat Alabama seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

"I think immorality has sunken to a new low," said Moore, accused by nine women of sexual misconduct, one dating back to when she was just 14 years old.

"I have been very much impressed with the lack of morality in political advertisements," Moore told OAN. "They say anything, they do anything, just to win. They don’t care who they hurt. They don't care whether it's untrue. They don't care if it's just something they made up. I think they hide behind these false ads just to attack the character of their opponent."

Moore can now boast the full-throated support of President Donald Trump, who spoke with the judge Monday. Trump had been reticent to fully back Moore for next week's special election against Democrat Doug Jones.

Moore also told OAN that Alabamans should vote for him because of his military and judicial experience.

"I was a company commander in Vietnam; I'm very familiar with the military," Moore told OAN. "I think I can help with the judiciary committee because I do understand the constitution. I do understand what judges do when they put themselves above the constitution."

Moore was removed from the Alabama state Supreme Court — twice — for putting himself above the constitution, the second time for refusing to enforce the ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court on gay marriage, according to AL.com.
