Laura Bluestein was indicted by a grand jury Friday for the death of Felicia Dormans in their Mill Street home in August. Bluestein has been held at the county jail since authorities were called to the home by relatives.

On the day Dormans was killed, she allegedly texted her mother, Christina Dormans, saying that she and Bluestein had an argument and that she was thinking about ending the relationship.

Despite urging from her mother, Dormans remained in th home. Hours later, she was found dead in the Mill Street house with a gunshot wound to the face, authorities said.

Bluestein was also indicted on a weapons charge

The investigation began on Aug. 6 when Mount Holly police went to the couple's home after a relative of the defendant told them an assault may have occurred. Dormans was found inside with a gunshot wound to the face. Bluestein, who was taken into custody without incident, told investigators she and Dormans were married.

Dormans' mother, Christina, said her daughter was considering leaving Laura Bluestein because she was being abused. She encouraged anyone in a similar situation to reach out for assistance "before it gets to a point where somebody loses a life."
