A woman was found shot to death in a car with her 1-year-old girl inside, DeKalb police said.

Authorities responded to the shooting about 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Terry Mill Road, according to police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell.

The child was not harmed in the incident.

Police said the shooter fired at 33-year-old Tamika Trimble from two different locations while she was behind the wheel.

“The driver fled and the other vehicle followed," DeKalb police Capt. A.W. Ford told Channel 2 Action News.

Police found the second location littered with about 12 shell casings, the television station reported.

They also found the child still in Trimble’s car. The girl is in the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services, according to Channel 2.

No other details have been released about the shooting.
