Convicted child molester arrested again after he was allegedly caught sexually assaulting child

Tuesday, 10 October 2017, 05:14:45 PM. A convicted child molester was arrested Saturday, one year after his release from a state prison, after he was allegedly caught sexually abusing another child.

A convicted child molester was arrested Saturday, one year after his release from a state prison, after he was allegedly caught sexually abusing another child.

George Meyer Jr., 43, was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

According to officials with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, a relative of the victim, who's age was not released, walked in on Meyer sexually assaulting the victim inside a residence.

Meyer fled, according to deputies, but was later apprehended.

Meyer is a registered sex offender who previously pleaded guilty to an indecency with child contact charge in 2002. The victim in the case was six years old, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Online Bexar County court records indicate Meyer was released from state prison on Oct. 6, 2016.
