Founded in 2012 and based in Burlington, Vermont, BVT News was established as an independent online publication. Burlington is a celebrated and vibrant small city located on the eastern shoreline of Lake Champlain. We are still proudly based in Vermont, however we have since expanded to reach a national and global audience.
Our small but mighty team is devoted to providing the news you need in such topics as career and business, tips and tyle, home and spaces, lifestyle, and health and wellness. BVT News is a collaborative media project consistently working to widen the lens from our local news to the broadened topics that affect everyone. Everywhere.

BVT News originally began as a local Burlington grassroots news outlet, however quickly gained readers and presence to become a powerhouse publication that expanded well beyond our local community. Our dedicated team strives to empower not only our local readers, but also our expanded communities of readers, to be informed and knowledgeable on a variety of meaningful topics.

BVT Masthead
Aurora is a graduate of Boston University and currently resides in Burlington, Vermont. She is an editor and publisher at BVT News.
Hailey is executive editor of BVT News She is a Temple University graduate, and her writing has been published in the Los Angeles Times and The Huffington Post.
Andre joined BVT News as a contributing writer, before taking on the associate editor role. He graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Winnie is the Creative Director for BVT News. She has been with BVT since 2018, and manages the creative department designing every issue from concept to web production.
Jack joined BVT News as a staff writer, before becoming Copy Editor earlier this year. He previously contributed to the LA Times, the New York Times, and Washington Post.
Maeve is responsible for assisting in editing and running the site’s web publication, in addition to covering special issues. She is a University of Colorado graduate and resides in Burlington.
